Mt. Shasta Community Resource Center & Siskiyou Community Resource Collaborative
Steven is the new Program Director for MSCRC and Dunsmuir Community Resource Center, as well as the Regional Director for South Siskiyou County with the newly formed Siskiyou Community Resource Collaborative (SCRC). Steven is passionate about children, families, community and non-profits, working to coordinate public awareness to garner long-term sustainable support for the SCRC. Grateful for the opportunity to work towards strengthening families, residents, and the community through outreach and family-friendly no-cost programs, Steven has over 20 years of experience in marketing, sales, business management and administration. An active Father of two involved with the school board, PTO, coaching baseball and the local youth hockey program, Steven is hitting the ground running!

Andrea Herr, Program Director
Family and Community Resource Center of Weed
Andrea brings a wide variety of experience working in early childhood education, elementary school teaching, and social service. Andrea has served as the case manager for Boles Fire survivors, and is excited to join the Family and Community Resource Center of Weed in its efforts to support children, families, seniors and the Weed community in growing stronger and healthier. When she is not working, Andrea enjoys being with her family, being out in our incredible nature, reading, and playing her clarinet!

Laurie Gardner, Program Assistant
Mt. Shasta Community Resource Center
Laurie has lived in Mt. Shasta for 45 years, where she and her husband have built a beautiful custom home and have raised two boys. Her love of the area has kept her here and her love for helping others has brought her to the Mt. Shasta Community Resource Center. Laurie’s excellent customer service, warmth and genuine compassion make her the perfect, first point of contact for those visiting the MSCRC. Her passion is working with families with young children and providing support and encouragement to individuals of all ages.

Jenny Asay, Program Assistant
Family and Community Resource Center of Weed
Although new to the county, Jenny has quickly fallen in love with our community and the people. She has spent the past 14 years raising her four beautiful children as well as having background in early childhood education, working with special needs children and adults, group home girls, and elder support. She shows enthusiasm in planning special events the Resource Center provides such as our Summer Fun Day Camp and the annual Harvest Festival. Working with young women is a passion of hers and we are happy to have her as a certified Girls Circle facilitator. Her passion for helping others has made her a valuable resource to our center.

Vi Mauden, Experience Works Volunteer
A life-long resident of Weed, Vi is giving back to her community by participating in the federally funded program for older adults called Experience Works. Vi feels fortunate to have been placed with the Mt. Shasta Community Resource Center. She is continually amazed at all the programs the Center offers and how such a small team can accomplish so much. Her sense of humor makes a great compliment to the team. For the first time in her life, she enjoys coming to work!

Terri Thorne, Early Childhood Facilitor
First 5 Siskiyou
Terri brings years of early childhood education experience and enjoys sharing creative and imagination play with both parent and child. She understands the importance of nurturing children through the senses and encouraging them to discover how things work in a social setting. She was born in Mt. Shasta, is delighted to be back, and looks forward to teaching, learning, and laughing with the children and families!
